These Pumpkin Pie French Toast Donuts are a delicious twist on classic French toast, infused with the flavors of pumpkin pie. Perfect for a fall breakfast or brunch treat.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 8 slices of day-old bread
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp milk
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

Pumpkin puree, milk, eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice, and ground cinnamon should all be combined in a bowl

Blend thoroughly

Using a donut cutter or a round cookie cutter with a smaller center hole, cut the day-old bread into the shape of donuts

Preheat vegetable oil to 350F 175C in a deep fryer or large pot

After thoroughly coating each donut-shaped bread with the pumpkin mixture, carefully drop it into the heated oil

Fry for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown

After taking the donuts out of the oil, drain any excess oil by placing them on paper towels

To make a glaze, whisk together milk and powdered sugar in a different bowl

Allowing the excess glaze to drop off, dip each pumpkin pie French toast donut into the glaze

After a few minutes, place the glazed donuts on a wire rack to cool

Enjoy your warm Pumpkin Pie French Toast Donuts!
