Sweet, sour, and smokey flavors come together in this honey-lime chicken that is grilled and tastes great. Great for a summer BBQ or any other outdoor event.
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 limes, juiced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
Mix honey, soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl
This will make the marinade
Pour half of the marinade over the chicken breasts in a plastic bag that can be closed again
Put the bag in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to marinate
Warm up the grill over medium-high heat
Take the chicken out of the bag and let the extra marinade drip off
Throw away the used marinade
Grill the chicken for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until it's fully cooked
While it's cooking, baste it with the marinade you saved
When the chicken is done, put it on a serving platter, top it with chopped cilantro, and serve it hot
If you want to add even more citrus flavor, you can serve it with lime wedges
