These grilled cheese sandwiches are so tasty! They have the right amount of mozzarella, fresh tomato, and flavorful pesto. It's a gourmet take on an old favorite.
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of French bread
- 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 2 tablespoons of pesto sauce
- Drizzle of olive oil
Instructions:
Set your panini press or grill to medium-high heat
On one side of each piece of French bread, spread pesto sauce
On one slice of bread that has pesto on it, put a layer of mozzarella cheese
Put tomato slices on top of the cheese
To make a sandwich, put the other slice of bread on top, pesto side down
For a crispy crust, drizzle olive oil on the outside of the sandwich
The sandwich should be cooked on a grill or panini press for three to four minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese melts
Take it off the grill carefully, cut it in half, and serve it hot
